Purveyors of revelry and sonic pleasure since 2018: a party band for all occasions and predicaments, serving the lower mainland and its environs. While still a relatively newish ensemble, this young group has already released two E.P.s (available at bandcamp.com). Made up of young brass musicians from New Westminster, and directed by Mr. Steve Clements, this New-Orleans-meets Klezmer-Balkan Brass band is a mobile unit that can entertain at the drop of a hat. The band varies from 8 to 24 players depending on the predicament. Expect the unexpected!

Uzume Taiko is West Coast Canada’s premiere professional taiko drumming group. Performing both nationally and internationally since 1988, the group performs their unique West Coast Canadian taiko drumming styles to receptive audiences the world over. Uzume Taiko has presented concert tours in the United Kingdom, Ireland, the Channel Islands, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Japan, the United States and in all corners of their homeland, Canada. From the Western and Mid Arctic to both coasts and many points in between, Uzume has also played at folk and jazz festivals throughout the Nation.

Edgar is a Vancouver-based, flute player and songwriter who makes heartfelt harmonious music and new age fusion.  Edgar Muenala was born in 1968 in Cotacachi-Ecuador. He is a pan flute extraordinaire who combines ancient tunes with new age sensibility. Edgar relates to music much in the way of an ongoing journey. In February of 2010, he was featured at the stage of the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Matt Cook-Contois is a First Nations fiddle player from Northern Manitoba. He has been playing the fiddle most of his life and has performed at festivals, camps, and competitions across the country.

Brother and sister rocking modern music on an ancient instrument.  Aiwen (11 years old) plays the guzheng, a 21-stringed traditional Chinese zither. Her brother Micah (7 years old) plays the drums.  They have been playing music together for as long as they can remember, combining classic Chinese songs with modern Western tunes and original compositions.

Hua Xia Multiculture Society has as a primary mission coordinating and implementing comprehensive educational, cultural and social programs designed to promote intercultural dialogue, awareness and to respect for diversity.  Through advocacy and cultural programs, we create opportunities for our clients and members to expand their cultural knowledge and appreciation.  We utilize our programs and support systems to provide an optimum developmental environment where all members may develop to the highest level of their potential within the intellectually and culturally vibrant community of in Surrey, and Lower Mainland of BC.
Our cultural expression group dedicates to encouraging the participation in the performing arts. We provide the opportunity for members to develop and transform from the stage to life.

The Korean Traditional Arts Society (KTAS) is dedicated to promoting the various forms and expressions of Korean traditional culture and art in Vancouver, Canada.
KTAS develops educational activities, materials and resources available to a diverse audience through workshops, exhibitions and performances to raise community awareness of Korean culture. It also focuses on encouraging and facilitating cultural exchanges and cooperation between Canada and Korea.
KTAS aims to promote cooperation through culture and performances with various ethnic groups in Vancouver and to contribute to the future development of Vancouver culture and arts through history and cultural exchange with indigenous peoples.

Yuki the Juggler, from Cause & Effect Circus, is a Japanese Canadian entertainer based in Vancouver, Canada. In his almost two decade career, he is best known for his interactive juggling acts, collaboration shows, and freestyle dance fusion. Yuki’s achievements not only include 1st place prizes/awards but connecting the local community of misfits by producing events, serving on the board of organisations and sending students to circus school. He shows up at festivities, big and small around the globe. Juggling is his way to connect and communicate with the world.
