Matt incorporates juggling, (clubs, bowling balls, fire, axes), tight rope, incredible feats of balance, plate spinning, rola bola, ballooning, and magic into a fun filled, interactive, high impact show. With over 22 years of cirque-style stand-up comedy and juggling experience all over Canada, he loves to entertain. Xingyu Elegant Dancing Group is a non-for-profit group and was founded on November 10, 2017. There are 15 people and age range is from 40s to 70s. All members are from North Surrey.
They focus on Chinese dancing and perform an elegant dancing in lots of local Festivals.
Matt Hermano is an accomplished artist based in British Columbia, born in Vancouver and raised in Surrey. The Wookiez are a Canadian Beatbox Champion duo that hail from Vancouver, BC. They consist of beatbox artists CiMaX and Vino. Both initially met through a small group of beatboxers that is now a collective called the WCG (West Coast Groove). Their beatbox performance style is mainly influenced from hip-hop and electronic roots while also challenging and expanding their soundset across many experimental genres.
The Wookiez continue to redefine modern beatboxing throughout the city and have performed at various events across the lower mainland and Canada such as the Chilliwack Mural Festival, Party for the Planet, Music Heals Foundation at the Commodore Ballroom, and more.
The Git Hayetsk Dancers are an internationally renowned dance group led in partnership by artist and carver Mike Dangeli (Nisga’a, Tsimshian, Tlingit, and Tsetsaut Nations) and Dr. Mique’l Dangeli (Tsimshian and Tlingit Nations), Assistant Professor in the School of Creative Arts at the University of the Fraser Valley.
Git Hayetsk means “people of the copper shield” in Sm’algya̱x, the language spoken by the Nisga’a, Tsimshian, and Gitxsan Nations. The copper shield is the highest form of ceremonial wealth shared among their people as well as other First Nations along the Northwest Coast. Their dancers are bonded by their connections to the Sm’algya̱x speaking peoples with distinction in their family ties to the many other Nations in Northern British Columbia, the Yukon, and Southeast Alaska. Since 1999, they have shared their songs and dances at ceremonial and public events in urban and rural communities through Canada, the US, and abroad including Austria, Malaysia, Germany, and Japan.
